Family Farmhands

Buying a "tear down" horse farm is not for the meek or a mere young man with a dream to fulfill. When Christian bought his farm at age 25, he faced re-roofing the large horse barn and excavating under the main house by hand in the first months. Both projects required family help and inspiration as did many more.

The 6 zone heating system was built by Bill and Christian over one long winter!

Six years and six buildings of work well done!

Reupholstering

My two vintage armchairs are being reupholstered for Bill to nap in. The English roll arm is done in heavy white denim with an early English footstool. The second is in a heavy navy twill stripe, with bottom fringe and a back pillow with large navy pom poms (soon).

Arm protectors, a new down cushion and back pillow to come...

Second Sculpture

Bill has built two sculptures during his holiday vacation; one a mirror of the other. Both beautiful even in a greenware state. They are coil built, slowly drying and a wonderful way to usher in the new year.

We have nearly finished repairing and painting all but the stone smokehouse...
