Creating A Comfy Chair

Lately I have been looking for an older armchair with good bones to reupholster in a heavy white denim fabric. This green vintage chair was a lucky find in great shape, a smaller scale, close by and cost $50. The English roll arm (covered) will be double welted and the detached cushions are super. A new down cushion will be made for the seat to match the back cushion.

Right is "Serena & Lily's" Elm chair and their Miramar is much like the first chair I found.

I've also found a nice size antique English foot stool and another small Victorian armchair to cover in a heavy cotton navy stripe and white denim as well. A 9" cotton bullion fringe will finish it's bottom and the bigger chair will have a box skirt. Natural Cotton Diamond Double Knot; "Fringe Market".

  2. Hi MEW! I am so excited to have found great fabrics, fringe, and just got some large navy pom poms for a back pillow. The upholstering will have to wait a month, but I am in love with your chair and can wait. Thanks so much for driving it to me and visiting the farm! Gail
