Back In Boston

Alex is now finishing his kitchen, second bath conversion and new laundry space in Charlestown near the Monument. With a helper he vented a stove hood through the roof and re-plumbed for a new shower & washer dryer; alone he ordered new kitchen cabinets, counters and appliances besides installing new electrical, recessed lights and building the new fuse box itself! Amazing.

Quartz Callacatta counters are now installed. Just beautiful! Gutting the spaces entirely gained both ceiling and wall space making full cabinets and recessed lighting more dramatic.

The bathroom tiles are 2' squares on the floor and 4' wide in the shower; shipped from Spain. They are thick marble porcelain with a glass-like finish. The shower is 5' wide, the glass door is extra tall, and it is entirely gorgeous. This bathroom window faces the Monument.

My Maid-Of-Honor; My Sister

My lovely little sister was my Maid of Honor when I married Bill a Friday evening in June and our first "renovated" farmhouse. It was planned in two months and she was willing to wear antique Victorian whites I had while my dress was older with all hand embroidered lace and French pleats creating a train (the dress was later sold to a collector). She had a wide blue velvet sash, carrying blue bachelor buttons and white freesias. I carried calla lilies tied in a wide olive green satin ribbon. All sorts of weddings are happening now, and our son's will seem a small wonder! I can't wait.

We wore Norwegian solje pins which are meant to represent the sun. Photo below left.

The Beach Boys

Soon we head up to Old Farm to clean-up the yard and later marry our oldest "beach boy" near there! Hard to believe they are all grown up, but will have matching blue suits for the wedding party as well.

Ceramics Continued

Half of the last walk-in kiln firing was Bill's work and here is some of his recent.
