Clay Work Repairs
The New Year has also begun with efforts to repair some pieces in Bill's studio. This tall vase had a crack now sealed with fiberglass mesh and Bray-poxy from the Archie Bray Foundation in Montana. Earlier, the large "Moon Pots" below have been repaired similarly.

A New Chimney Cap
Old Farm has a new custom stainless steel chimney cap to cover three newer flues; connecting three original fireplaces. After repointing some chimney bricks and sealing them all, this 52" x 38" large cap completes our roof work.
Bill & Alex intstalled a chimney liner the weekend we closed on the house.
One of three fireplaces with original floor boards nearly 2' wide.
Christian installing his chimney liner with Leif, before a custom cap as well.

Building A Big Clay Sculpture
As the new year begins, Bill has begun building a tall ceramic sculpture (a rarity) in his basement studio. Hauling such a sizable piece out in a greenware state is a big effort. Four of us will manage it while the actual build is a wonderfull thing to watch.
Bill has just turned 74 and amazes us all. Happy Birthday Bill!
This sculpture is built 70" high which fits the studio kiln after shrinkage from drying. It will also just fit into the back of my vintage Volvo wagon to be transported to the Takaezu Studio.
