Working On Windows

Bill spent two beautiful weekends on the Cape replacing exterior window trim and painting it at Old Farm. Luckily the trim is simple and it is well worth the effort to have all new pressure-treated and clear cedar wood around these windows.

We have also been replacing broken window panes at Christian's old farm. First the paint was torched off of the outside wood frame before removing the old putty, muntins and glass. New replacement glass panes from a hardware store cost $2.99, from a glass store they are $10.00 and $20.00 for old glass. I cleaned our very old glass panes with new razor blades and bought 8 new from the hardware store.

Meanwhile I continue stripping doors outside when I can. The closet doors here are solid wood and worth saving ($300.00 a set now) Christian feels. With a good quality trim paint, color and polished chrome knob; they will look much nicer.

  1. I have just downloaded iStripper, and now I enjoy having the best virtual strippers strip-teasing on my desktop.
